Zadobrova Primary school is a state primary school located in Ljubljana. It covers the field of primary education  based on the national curriculum (grades 1-9, pupils from six to fourteen/fifteen years). The school is of moderate size, there are currently 493 pupils and approximately 40 members of staff (teachers and other employees).

Zadobrova Primary School has been successful in the area of sport and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle for many years. In the field of sport we have recorded excellent results (basketball, floorball, athletics, orienteering, handball and gymnastics), on the basis of which the school received the title of a Sports School (Športna šola). Sport and a healthy lifestyle are among the basic values which the school promotes and are enclosed in the Vision document of the school, which is available on the school website and in the brochure, which students receive at the beginning of the school year. Teachers and school staff strongly believe in these values, we embrace them, teach them and model them so they are being transferred to students, parents, families and the local community. In addition, the school also emphasizes values such as honesty, mutual help, the preservation of a healthy environment, the care for nature and sustainable development. On the basis of our work in the field of the above mentioned ideas, we received several titles (Eco School (Eko šola), Healthy School (Zdrava šola), took part in many projects (Healthy Lifestyle (Slovene national project), Project Scooter (http://www.delo.si/novice/ljubljana/solarji-izdelali-skuter-na-soncno-energijo-in-zmagali.html) and received many awards. Above all, we are proud to observe on daily basis that our students feel well at school, are able to create healthy relationships and are aware of the importance of health and a healthy environment, nature and the quality of life. Our school is located on the outskirts of urban environment with easy access to nature (mountains, forests, recreational areas), which allows us to be involved in the Erasmus+ project European Olympics which, we believe, will be enriched by our active contribution. Above all, we would like to promote spending time in the mountains, as a way of relaxation, an opportunity to practice sports activities and health maintenance.
