FIRST TRANSNATIONAL MEETING

During the 14th, 15th and 16th of November 2017, the First of the three Transnational meetings planned in our project took place in Badajoz. The First, in Spain, the second will take place in Portugal from April 16th to 20th, and the third will be meant as a general evaluation of the project. It will take place in Slovenia, from April 22th to 25th 2019.

This first Meeting for coordinating teachers of the different countries has had as its main objective to lay the foundations of the project. That is, to define exactly the dates on which the trips will take place with our students, what activities will be carried out in each of the countries during the visits (five days), how will we disseminate the results that each school is producing in relation to the topic of our project and how we are going to evaluate these activities.As a result, the team of European Olympics teachers has reached the following agreements:

FIRST TRANSNATIONAL MEETING MINUTES

Once the First Transnational Meeting of the Erasmus plus KA219 project “European Olympics” has been held in Badajoz from the 14th to 16th November 2017,all partners have agreed on the following:

  • The Transnational Learning Activities will take place:

From March 19th to 23rd 2018 in Ljubljana (Slovenia)

From  April 16 to 20, 2018 in Bombarral (Portugal)

From 1to 5thOctober 2018 in Sofia (Bulgaria)

From 18thto 22ndMarch 2018 in Badajoz (Spain)

  •  The Second Transnational Meeting will take place in Bombarral during the Transnational Learning Activity from  April 16 to 20, 2018, and the final Transnational Meeting will take place in Slovenia from 22 to 25 April 2019.

  • Each country will take six students to each hosting country during the Transnatonal Learning Activities.

  • A survey related to the physical form of the students, their diet and the use of pernicious customs among teenagers which is already designed will be carried out by every country.

  • Each hosting country will design activities related with sport, Olympic spirit and healthy coexistence during the Transnational Learning Activities as long as routes and cultural visits.

  • Each country will disseminate the products carried out during the project locally using Blogs, School Web pages or Facebook.

  • A Facebook page of the project will be created.

  • The project will be disseminated using a Web page and eTwinning Myspace.

  • All host countries should cater for a free welcome act during the Transnational Learning Activities

  • To organize a farewell dinner by the host country.

  •  Each host country should cater for the local transportation around the sights and the trips that it has to organize both in terms of organization and finances.

  • All other expenses (admission fees, museums etc.) will be paid by visitors. Each host country may search for all details regarding the sights, museums or any other activity planned.

The beginning of the visit of teachers took place in the Hall of the IES Rodríguez Moñino, where the choir of the Institute welcomed them to our school.

The teachers' meetings took place in the mornings.

At the beginning of each of the meetings of days 14th  and 15th , the winning students of the contest of presentations that had been celebrated previously, spoke to teachers about Extremadura and about our school. The students in charge of  the presentations were María del Arco and Enrique Borrego (Extremadura) and Alba Cruz and Carlota Cuéllar (our school).

We had time enough to attend a music class where the children had the opportunity to ask teachers from other countries about their culture, their students, their schedules, etc.

In the afternoon , different recreational and cultural activities were developed. A large number of IES Rodríguez Moñino teachers accompanied the members at all times, their involvement and participation being noteworthy throughout the visit.

On the 14th, the member professors were offered a meal organized by the IES Rodríguez Moñino teachers  in which there was no shortage of typically Spanish dishes.

Afterwards, we accompany them to a tour around the old town of our city. We counted with the collaboration of a colleague, history teacher, of our school, who kindly offered himself to perform as a guide.

On the 16th we enjoyed a walk along the river at sunset.

​

​

After this first meeting in which the project team has been more solidly formed, we can highlight the participation of the IES Rodríguez Moñino teachers, the work disposition of all the members, the ease with which we have reached agreements and especially the climate of collaboration and understanding that will surely provide excellent results to the project we have undertaken together.
